Brew, sip, jot.

Machines took over most of the housework. Laundry, floors — one button and it’s done. Coffee is the one thing we still want to make by hand.

• In the quiet of the morning, still rubbing sleep from your eyes.
• When work stalls, and you need to move.
• At night, to set the day down.

Just the smell of it, and the luxury of using your hands. May your coffee time be a warm one.
